Khorgo Volcano – The Dormant Crater of Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake
Located in Arkhangai Province, Khorgo Volcano is one of the most popular natural landmarks in central Mongolia. This extinct volcano, part of the Khorgo–Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake National Park, offers striking lava formations, volcanic craters, and panoramic views over the surrounding mountains and lakes.
The volcano last erupted thousands of years ago and left behind a surreal landscape of basalt rocks and lava fields that are perfect for hiking and photography.
