Khogno Khan National Park – Desert, Mountains, and Monasteries in One Place
Khogno Khan National Park, also known as Khugnu Tarna, is a spectacular protected area in central Mongolia where the Gobi meets the steppe. It’s one of the few places in the country where visitors can experience sand dunes, rocky mountains, grasslands, and historical ruins in a single day.
Located around 280 km west of Ulaanbaatar, this park is ideal for hiking, camel riding, exploring monasteries, and witnessing Mongolia’s diverse ecosystems up close.
