Khetsuu Khad is a dramatic rocky cliff rising from the waters of Hyargas Lake in Uvs Province, western Mongolia. Its name means “difficult rock” or “hard cliff,” and it is one of the most iconic landmarks in this remote region.
Rising steeply out of the vast lake, the cliff creates a surreal contrast between water and stone, and is a popular subject for landscape photographers. The area is also a nesting site for various bird species and a peaceful spot to witness Mongolia’s raw natural beauty.
