Welcome to Ulaanbaatar Mongolian capital. Ulaanbaatar "Red Hero") is the capital of Mongolia. It is at the same time the political, economic, industrial, scientific and cultural center. Administratively, it has the status, unique in the country, of a municipality, comparable to that of a province (aimag). With 1.6 million inhabitants, it is the largest city in Mongolia. The city, which stretches from east to west at the bottom of the valley of the Toul river, over about twenty kilometres, brings together nearly half of the country's population. Life in Ulaanbaatar has been turned upside down by the influx of nomads from the steppe: in 2011, the rural exodus had already pushed more than 500,000 people to UB (the nickname given by the Mongols to their capital).
Welcome to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia's capital. Your guide and driver will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel in the city center. We will check into the hotel and rest until noon.
The first day program starts at noon. We start with lunch with the Mongolian team.
Visit the superb National Museum of Mongolian History, the largest museum in Mongolia, where you will learn the great history of Mongolia.
Walk in the city center of Ulaanbaatar and visit the main square of Chinggis Khan.
The fabulous traditional Mongolian show of Tumen Ekh will introduce you to Mongolian instruments, traditional dances, religious dances, traditional songs, overtone songs, and contortions in the evening.
